Moral values are very important for students’ lives. If we do not learn good values, we cannot become good humans. In school, teachers always tell us to be good boys and good girls. My teacher says moral values help us at home, in school and also when we grow up big. Moral values make our hearts clean and minds strong. If we follow moral values, people trust us and love us. If we do not follow, then people feel sad about us. So I am writing 20 moral values for students. I am a small student, but I try my best to explain in easy words.

Moral values help us to know what is right and what is wrong. Sometimes we know the answer in the book, but we don’t know how to behave. So moral values teach us good behaviour. Like saying sorry, saying thank you, helping poor people, and respecting elders. These all things make our life beautiful. In the future, when we become doctors, teachers, police officers or big officers, these moral values will help us a lot.
1. HONESTY
Honesty means to speak the truth always. We should not tell lies to teachers and parents. If we break glass in the home, we must tell Mummy the truth. If we lie one time, then we have to lie many times. So honesty is best. Honest students always get trust from teachers.
2. RESPECT
Respect means giving good behaviour to elders, parents, teachers and also friends. We must say good morning, teacher. We must not shout at elders. Respect makes relationships strong. If we respect others, they also respect us back.

Kindness means being soft and good to everyone. If a friend forgets a pencil, we give our pencil. If someone falls down, we help them to stand. Kindness makes the world a happy place.

Sharing is a very good moral value. When we share our lunch with friends, they feel happy. Sharing toys with a small brother is also good. If we do not share, we become selfish children. Sharing teaches us caring.
5. HELPING OTHERS
We must help others when they need it. Helping an old man to cross the road is good work. Helping Mother in the kitchen is also good. Helping a friend with homework makes friendship strong.
6. DISCIPLINE
Discipline means following rules. We must go to school on time. We must do homework daily. If we do not follow discipline, our lives become a mess. Discipline makes us successful in the future.

Forgiveness means saying it’s okay when someone says sorry. If a friend pushes us by mistake, we should forgive. If we do not forgive, we keep anger in our hearts. Forgive and make the heart light.
9. PATIENCE
Patience means waiting without anger. When the teacher is checking copies, we must wait. When Mummy is cooking food, we wait. If we are not patient, we shout and cry. Patience is a very big value.
10. CLEANLINESS
Cleanliness is next to god. We must keep our class clean. We must not throw paper on the road. A clean body and a clean mind are both important. Dirty places make people sick.
11. GRATITUDE
Gratitude means saying thank you for small, small things. If someone gives us a gift, we say thank you. If teachers teach us nicely, we feel thankful. Gratitude makes us happy from the inside.
12. HARD WORK
Hard work is the key to success. If we study daily, we get good marks. If we play only, we fail the exam. Hard work makes dreams come true. Lazy student does not reach goal.

Courage means not being afraid of the truth. If someone bullies us, we tell the teacher. If we make a mistake, we accept it. Courage makes us strong boys and girls.
14. FRIENDSHIP
Friendship is a very sweet relation. Good friends help in sad times. We must not fight daily. We must support our friends. Bad friends teach bad habits, so choose good friends.

Equality means all are the same. Rich and poor are both human. Girl and boy are both equal. We must not laugh at someone’s clothes. God makes all the same.

‘Obedience’ means listening to parents and teachers. When a teacher says keep quiet, we must keep quiet. If we do not obey, we get punishment. An obedient child is loved by all.

In the end, I want to say moral values are like light in the dark. Without moral values, student life is not good. Marks are important, but values are more important. If we get 100 marks but are rude, then it’s no use. But if we get fewer marks and we are good humans, then everyone is proud of us.
My teacher always says, ‘First become a good human, then become a big officer.’ Moral values start from home. Parents teach the first lesson. School teaches the second lesson. We must listen to both. If we follow these 20 moral values, we become good citizens of the country.
So all students should read moral values daily and try to follow them in life. Slowly, slowly, we become better people. Moral values make our future bright and shiny. I hope everyone understands these values and does good work in life.
